Casting Call: 'The World Goes 'Round'

Playhouse 22 will be holding open auditions for "The World Goes 'Round" at 7 p.m. June 25 and 27.

The World Goes 'Round is a musical revue showcasing the songs of John Kander and Fred Ebb.  The show consists of an eclectic collection of love songs, torch songs, and witty comic numbers.

Auditionees will need to sing 32 bars in the style of the show that reflect their vocal range and shows their personality. Disney, country, pop and rock show songs are prohibited. An accompanist will be provided. Auditionees must bring their own sheet music. They will also need to dance.
Man 1 (tenor) An impish comedian.
Man 2: baritone/tenor A hopeless romantic.
Woman 1: alto A jazz balladeer.
Woman 2: soprano A seducer.
Woman 3: alto or soprano An upbeat, cabaret-style performer.
 Performances will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 21, 24, 27 and Oct. 4 and at 3 p.m. Sept. 23 and 30.
