Casting Call: 'Working'

Kelsey Theater will be holding auditions for "Working," a musical based on the book by Studs Terkel and adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. August 17 and 7-10 p.m. If needed, callbacks will be on August 20. Audition appointments are strongly recommended.

Auditionees will need to sing one complete song from contemporary musical theater, and bring their own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. They will also need to cold read. All auditionees must be at least 18 years old.

Casting Call: 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change'

Edison Valley Playhouse will be holding auditions for "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," a musical by Jimmy Roberts and Joe DiPietro, at 7 p.m. June 24 and 27.

Auditionees need to be skilled in comic timing and versatility. They should prepare a contemporary musical theater song. An accompanist will be provided.

Performances will be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Sept. 13-18. Edison Valley Playhouse is located at 2196 Oak Tree Road, Edison, NJ.

Casting Call: 'The World Goes 'Round'

Playhouse 22 will be holding open auditions for "The World Goes 'Round" at 7 p.m. June 25 and 27.

The World Goes 'Round is a musical revue showcasing the songs of John Kander and Fred Ebb.  The show consists of an eclectic collection of love songs, torch songs, and witty comic numbers.

Auditionees will need to sing 32 bars in the style of the show that reflect their vocal range and shows their personality. Disney, country, pop and rock show songs are prohibited. An accompanist will be provided. Auditionees must bring their own sheet music. They will also need to dance.
Man 1 (tenor) An impish comedian.
Man 2: baritone/tenor A hopeless romantic.
Woman 1: alto A jazz balladeer.
Woman 2: soprano A seducer.
Woman 3: alto or soprano An upbeat, cabaret-style performer.
 Performances will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 21, 24, 27 and Oct. 4 and at 3 p.m. Sept. 23 and 30.

Casting Call: 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'

Auditions will be held at Kelsey Theater for "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" June 24 and 25. Callbacks will be on June 26. Rehearsals will start after July 4. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays September 6-15.

Auditionees should prepare a monologue and 16 bars of a song.
