Circle Players seeks cleanup crew

Circle Players is looking for help cleaning up its grounds, and keeping them that way.

The theater, located at 416 Victoria Ave., Piscataway, will hold a cleanup from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 7. Volunteers are asked to bring any weed whackers, clippers, and other such tools. The theater is seeking up to 10 volunteers. Prospective attendees should sign up online. Refreshments will be provided.

Circle also is looking for a volunteer facilities manager to join the organization.

The manager would:
  1. Be responsible for the building structure and its maintenance;
  2. Ensure that the organization operates efficiently by planning and directing building-related services;
  3. Ensure the safety of the building from fire, flood and other hazards;
  4. Ensure that all the equipment and other facilities function properly;
  5. Assess current conditions of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and other essential utilities and equipment;
  6. Create and execute a schedule of systems maintenance;
  7. Ensure that the building meets all applicable codes and that, whenever necessary, arranges for inspections to be completed and passed;
  8. Facilitate all repairs and upgrades to the building, possibly handling minor jobs themselves; and
  9. Coordinate with the director of finance to acquire the needed funds to maintain the building.

Seeking Volunteers for Disabled Cast

Youth Stages of Kelsey Theater is seeking volunteers to assist the actors in the VSA NJ fall production of "The Secret Garden".

There are sixteen adult actors with various disabilities. Volunteers are sought to work backstage, assisting the actors with entrances and exits so they do not miss cues, and helping them with minor costume changes. A one-on-one match is ideal. The volunteers will also help with set changes.

Volunteers need to be available from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 5 at Project Freedom, Hamilton; and also from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 9-12 at Kelsey Theater, with Nov. 12 being the evening of the performance.

Seeking Volunteers for Disabled Cast

There are sixteen adult actors with various disabilities. Volunteers are sought to work backstage, assisting the actors with entrances and exits so they do not miss cues, and helping them with minor costume changes. A one to one match is preferable. The volunteers will also help with set changes.

The volunteers will be needed from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 6 for a rehearsal at Project Freedom, which is possibly in Hamilton; from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 10-12 for dress rehearsals at Kelsey Theater; and from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 13 for the performance, which will start at 7:30 p.m., also at Kelsey Theater.
